Project Complete has worked in the retail store design and fitout space for many years, with a wealth of experience in pharmacies and medical centres.

This particular project entailed designing and project managing the relocation and fitout of a Compounding Pharmacy located in Springwood, Brisbane. The pharmacy was relocated next door to a medical centre and design included a connecting walkthrough for medical centre, giving patients convenient access. Compounding is a growing area in pharmacy in Australia and involves preparing personalised medications for patients. Prescribed by doctors, they address the needs of patients with allergies, for reproducing discontinued or hard to find medications or for those who need micro doses of medications. These medications are made on site and have to be made under laboratory conditions. As such, the project management of this type of pharmacy requires precise execution of design plans.

Our clients requested a challenging timeline of six weeks as they wanted to be up and running before the busy Christmas period. Our team turned design and tender around in record time, with works completed and the store open right on target.

In addition, our Marketing Solutions division assisted with a brand identity package for the client which included a new logo and refreshed brand colours. This helps give the business a unique and memorable identity.

Postcript – our client was so happy with the launch of their new pharmacy, they engaged Project Complete to manage the development of their second Mix Pharmacy at Ipswich a year later.
